The success of St. James is the result of having served its guests with meticulous care, quality and expertise in every regard for 50 years.

Its well established food menu is now being joined by some Premium Cocktail recipes designed exclusively for the restaurant in the Galería Canalejas Food Hall.

Professional bartender, Santiago Dorado, was called in as consultant and mixologist to come up with the concepts, ingredients and inspiration behind each one of the 21 cocktails, of which six are paired with food items to highlight the fact that cocktails can also be the ideal lunchtime aperitif.

The way in which these drinks are presented in carefully selected glasses converts each cocktail into a veritable experience unto itself.

For example, Ellas is a cocktail made using Santísima Trinidad 7 rum with a twist of lemon and served in a glass shaped like the bust of a woman. The glassware chosen for the refreshing flavour of Gin Raw in the Floral Fizz is equally eye-catching - a flower vase artfully decorated with a pansy.

For a touch of nostalgia, the Buffalo Trace in Grandma’s Cake is served in an old-fashioned glass enveloped in oak smoke inside a patisserie dome. Raíces, the cocktail made with Gin MG, is served in a similar glass on a golden tray surrounded by moss, in which raspberry powder adorns the cocktail after it is poured from a shaker.

A selection of cocktails using the best spirits that stand on the cutting edge of this field to create unique moments and experiences to be enjoyed with all the senses. All the cocktails at St. James contain a certain wow factor, while carefully prepared table presentations help steer guests towards building complex experiences.
